Simple Beef Lasagna

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

Serves: 4 (Approx)


  • 500g Gourmet Beef Mince
  • 1 Small Onion-finely Chopped
  • 1 Clove Garlic-Crushed
  • 1/4 Cup of Beef Stock
  • 1/4 Cup of Tomato Paste
  • 400g Can of Peeled Tomatoes
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Dried Oregano or Basil
  • 375g Pkt  Lasagne Sheets
  • 500g Ricotta
  • 1 Cup Grated Parmesan
  • Salad To Serve


  1. Place mince in a bowl and mix in a little oil. Heat a large frying pan until hot. Crumble in half of the mince. Brown the mince, breaking up and lumps. Remove the first batch, Reheat pan & cook remaining mince then remove
  2. Add onion & garlic. Cook until onion is soft. Return mince & add the tomato paste, peeled tomatoes, stock, sugar & herbs. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes
  3. Preheat the oven to 180’c.  Alternate layers of meat suce with the lasagne sheets and half ricotta in a greased lasagne dish. Spreak top layer with sauce then with remaning ricotta mixed with the grated parmesan. Bake lasange uncovered for 30 minutes or until thouroughly hot.
  4. Serve with salad as desired.


  • Make twice the amount needed & freeze half for an easy meal later!
